The standard medical isotope case: proton bombardment of enriched Mo-100 to produce Tc-99m for SPECT imaging.

  • Beam: 16 MeV protons, 0.15 mA
  • Target: Enriched Mo-100 (10.22 g/cm³)
  • Energy window: 16 → 12 MeV
  • Irradiation: 1 day
  • Expected Tc-99m activity: ~262 GBq after 1 day cooling
